COMET ends the production of glass X-ray tubes in 2002. The very last DI 9-30/50-150 rotary anode X-ray tube is produced marking the end of an era. COMET now focuses on the more demanding technical market segments with higher added value.
Demand for specialized industrial high-performance X-ray tubes made from metal-ceramic technology develops strongly. Production is relocated to a brand-new, purpose-built plant in Flamatt.
